Chris Sutton believes that Ange Postecoglou 's success since arriving at Celtic has surpassed that of Steven Gerrard at Rangers.
In term of achievements in Scottish football, the pundit stated that the Australian's effort's this season provide him with bragging rights over the ex-Gers boss.
The Celtic gaffer saw his side crowned champions of the cinch Premiership on Wednesday night after a 1-1 draw at Tannadice.
The draw with Tam Courts' Dundee United officially wrapped things up with the trophy now officially on its way to Parkhead.
And with the Premier Sports Cup triumph back in December, Ange has now secured two trophies in his debut season.
The success has lead to Sutton comparing the Hoops boss' efforts with Steven Gerrard' s who only managed one trophy in three years during his time at Ibrox.
Speaking on an Optus Sport podcast, Sutton said: “I don’t get the argument that he can’t manage in the Premier League. You look at his track record – his track record speaks for itself and I think people would’ve sat up and noticed the job that he’s done at Celtic.
“Steven Gerrard with one trophy out of nine in three seasons and people are saying it’s an incredible turnaround.
"Well, it’s nowhere near to what Ange has done at Celtic in one season.
"Ange has won more trophies in one season than Steven Gerrard in three and Gerrard gets a big job at Aston Villa.
"I’m sure clubs would look at him (Ange). It’s actually insulting (to suggest he can’t manage in the EPL).
"He’s managed a national team at a World Cup. What more does he have to do?
“And as I say – Steven Gerrard did build a Rangers team and did do well, but you can’t compare the two achievements between Postecoglou and Gerrard.
"Yet we’re sitting here questioning whether Postecoglou could manage in the Premier League but of course Steven Gerrard was destined to do that? That doesn’t make any sense to me.”
