Smirking Celtic hero Chris Sutton has taken a pot shot at Rangers star Alfredo Morelos over concerns about his fitness following Monday's derby showdown.
The Colombian led the line for Michael Beale's men but missed two glaring opportunities for the home side and was at fault for Daizen Maeda's opening goal. The real talking point for Morelos though came during an exchange with Greg Taylor while the Celtic defender received treatment for an hamstring injury. TV footage appeared to show Taylor telling Morelos to “shut it, fatboy" before he was replaced by Josip Juranovic.
Sutton couldn't resist a swipe at the 26-year-old forward when debating the fallout from the game on BT Sport's Scottish Football Extra with Rangers legend Ally McCoist. When asked about Morelos performance by host Darrell Currie, McCoist confessed: "Well, he has got to score one of his headers. He does well, in terms of using his body twice on Juranovic..."
However, Sutton quickly interjected: "Well that is some body." Undeterred McCoist continued: "Well, that's my point Chris, he doesn't look fit. That is the bottom line."
Sutton chimed in again: "Was Greg Taylor right?" However, McCoist refused to take the bait, continuing: "I have no idea. I have no idea what Greg Taylor said to him, Chris."
