Chris Sutton believes Liverpool forward Mohamed Salah could "have a field day" against Rangers in Tuesday night's Champions League clash.
The Egyptian superstar is enduring somewhat of a lean spell for the Reds, having failed to find the net in each of his last four appearances in the Premier League. Salah does however have four goals across all competitions this season, including in the 2-1 win over Ajax at Anfield in the Champions League.
Jurgen Klopp's side are strong favourites for each game of their upcoming double-header against the Scottish side, having been placed under early pressure in their group with a 4-1 loss at Napoli. Their late win over Ajax helped ease their situation but they will be aiming for maximum points against group outsiders Rangers.
Rangers appear to be slowly recovering from a rotten run of results, which saw them lose by an aggregate scoreline of 11-0 in heavy defeats against Celtic, Ajax and Napoli respectively. Giovanni van Bronckhorst's side have won each of their last two league games, including Saturday's four-goal victory at third-placed Hearts.
However, having shipped seven goals in their opening two Champions League games, Sutton – who formerly played for the Glasgow side's domestic rivals Celtic – believes they could be in for a long night on Tuesday with their visit to Anfield.
Sutton told BBC 5 Live's The Monday Night Club: "They've got issues at the back, Ben Davies, a former Liverpool player, played at the weekend alongside Connor Goldson, but I worry about Barisic. He has great delivery but Mo Salah going up against him will have a field day."

Rangers did reach last season's Europa League final with a superb run, only to fall short in the penalty shootout decider against Eintracht Frankfurt. They also progressed through multiple qualification rounds in this season's Champions League, including eliminating PSV Eindhoven.
Sutton added that despite being outsiders for the tie, Rangers should not be ruled out of causing Liverpool problems: "But Rangers have to view it as a shot to nothing – go there, play with confidence, and hope to catch Liverpool on a downer. I still fancy Liverpool to win the game but Rangers are capable."
The match will see former Reds players Ben Davies and Ryan Kent – who scored in Saturday's win at Hearts – return to Anfield in what has been billed as the 'Battle of Britain'.
