Chris Pine has shared the real reason he decided to cut his long blonde locks – and it’s hilarious.
The Hollywood star grew his hair out around the time he was doing the Don’t Worry Darling movie promo last year.
He became one of the most-watched memes of 2022 for his bored looks during press conferences - especially when co-star Harry Style was talking.
But he revealed his hair also came under the spotlight for its resemblance to a certain fellow celebrity.
In a recent video interview with Esquire, the now shorter haired 42-year-old said his publicist told him he looked like Rachel from Friends.
And it was this that prompted him to ditch his long, blonde locks once and for all.

Chris told the magazine: “I thought I was looking pretty, pretty fly. The hair was long, everything was happening – then my publicist said I looked like Rachel from Friends.”
He added: “I couldn’t unhear it. And it was the first day and my first time in Venice [at the film festival].”
In a hilarious clapback, Jennifer Aniston – aka the real Rachel from Friends – took to Instagram to share a clip of Chris’ interview.
At the end of the clip, Jennifer added an Instagram meme of herself as Rachel doing a shocked face.
She also cleverly used the publicity to plug her own haircare brand LolaVie, which she launched in 2021.

Elsewhere in the interview, Chris finally put to bed the rumours that co-star Harry Styles had spat on him at the Don’t Worry Darling premiere.
Speculation was rife after a clip from the event which appeared to show the former 1D singer send a big ball of spit in Chris’ direction as he took his seat went viral.
But Star Trek star Chris rebuffed the claims, and even went as far as calling Harry a "very, very kind guy".
"I had no idea what happened," Chris recalled. "She [his publicist] showed me the thing, and it does look, indeed, like Harry's spitting on me. He didn't spit on me."

Opening up further on the moment, Chris finally revealed what was actually said at the time in a bid to bring an end to all the speculation that had since followed.
He continued: "I think what he said is he leaned down and I think he said, 'It's just words isn't it?'
"Cause we had this little joke. 'Cause we're all jet-lagged, we're all trying to answer these questions that, sometimes, when you're doing these press things, your brain goes all befuddled and you start speaking gibberish. And we had a joke, 'It's just words, man.'"
While the latest words should finally end fans' wondering about a feud between the pair, Chris' rep was much quicker to put out the flames following the scenes.
Days after the clip went viral, a representative of the Hollywood star told E! News: "People are seeing some odd illusion of sorts online that is clearly deceiving...there is nothing but respect between these two men.
"This is a completely fabricated exchange, and any suggestion otherwise is a blatant attempt to create drama that simply does not exist."
