Chris Paul is preparing to get his Warriors tenure underway following the series of offseason trades that sent him from the Suns to the Wizards, and then to Golden State.
Ahead of his debut season with the Warriors, Paul sent a video message to Dub Nation, during which he expressed his excitement to join the team.
“‘Sup Dub Nation? It’s Chris Paul, I’m excited to be in the Bay. Let’s get it, let’s lock in. Peace,” said Paul, who kept his address rather brief.
The Warriors acquired the 38-year-old in a trade that sent Jordan Poole, Ryan Rollins, Patrick Baldwin Jr., a 2030 protected first round pick and a 2027 second round pick to the Wizards.

Paul also posed for a picture while holding his new Golden State threads, and it seems as if he’ll carry on wearing his usual No. 3 with his new team.

The veteran point guard was spotted sitting alongside his new teammate Stephen Curry in the front row of the Warriors’ Summer League game on Sunday night. It’s entirely possible the 12-time All-Star ends up serving as Curry’s backup this year, helping to lead the charge for Golden State’s second unit.
Paul averaged a career-low 13.9 points last season, to go with 8.9 assists and 4.3 rebounds per game. He shot 44% from the field and 37.5% from three-point range.
