Chris Kirchner's wife makes Nottingham Forest jibe after play-off win

Aly Kirchner, the wife of incoming Derby County buyer Chris Kirchner, has made a dig at Nottingham Forest after the Reds were promoted to the Premier League.

An own-goal from Huddersfield's Levi Colwill earned Forest victory in the Championship play-off final at Wembley, leading to stick from the other end of the A52 that Steve Cooper's men didn't score themselves en route to promotion.

One such party to join that train is Mrs. Kirchner, who tweeted about the incident on Sunday evening. "It was an own goal," she tweeted, with an emoji of someone rolling their eyes. The post went down well with Derby fans, as you would imagine. Below is a look at what some of them had to say.

@JamieBrewin9 : Not what we wanted but more important things than our rivals and that’s us and we are very grateful for you and Chris

@crich_lisa : Exactly, promoted without even scoring a goal - welcome to English football

@dogavic : And two stonewall penalties not given. But who cares, they’ll be back down again in no time.

@BiffaBoffa : Oh Aly, I can see you fitting in just nicely at Derby with a tweet like that...

@storm16540959 : Well said Aly that’s very true and Huddersfield should of had two stonewall penalties ! There is massive rivalry between Derby and Forest fans so just be aware that some Forest fans lack class and maybe over the top insulting

@Michell93419516 : Aly is a ram she hates Forest
