Chris Hemsworth and wife Elsa Pataky put on cosy display as they cuddle up in the sea

Chris Hemsworth showed off his ripped physique as he cosied up with his wife Elsa Pataky.

The Marvel actor stood by his wife - who opted for a plain black bikini, a matching black baseball cap and black sunglasses - as they looked out to the ocean before going for a dip and cuddling as they splashed about in the water.

They were later joined by their three kids: 10-year-old daughter India Rose and twin boys Sasha and Tristan, eight, who Chris later played with, picking them up and playfully throwing them into the water.

Elsa took one of her boys onto her back, giving him a piggyback as they paddled through the water, before taking to a private yacht on the water for a break.

Their holiday outing comes after Chris and his wife were shamed by fans after shoving birthday cake in their son's face. Elsa can be seen pushing her son's head into his birthday cake while dad Chris smiled in the background.

The actor shared a photo of the event to his Instagram page back in March, but it has since sparked a debate between his followers. He captioned the post with a birthday tribute message to his twin boys, Sasha and Tristan, saying: "Happy 9th birthday to my two little men!

"Only one way to eat cake in this house and that’s to have mum slam your head into it face first!!" he continued. They joked by mimicking his son saying: "Hey mum I don’t like chocolate cake I prefer vanilla,

"Oh really son, what about now?" before he tagged his wife.

Fans took to the comments to discuss whether they thought the parents were being funny or harsh.

One annoyed follower wrote: "Why people smash their kids face in the cake is above my understanding but whatever."

As a second said: "It’s so violent." while a third wrote: "whhhyyyyy do people think this is funny."

As another commented: "Agreed. I think it’s ridiculous."

However, another fired back: "Because it’s funny and a family tradition and it give kids a memory to laugh at and then the look forward to it happening to their siblings and they share the joy."
