The Miami Dolphins made a ton of moves this offseason to improve a roster that wasn’t good enough to make the postseason in 2021.
They added a number of players in free agency, but when they traded for wide receiver Tyreek Hill from the Kansas City Chiefs, it cost them their first, second and fourth-round pick this year as well as a fourth and sixth in 2023.
This means the Dolphins likely won’t have much going on for the first night of the three-day draft.
On Wednesday, general manager Chris Grier was asked whether or not he viewed Hill as their first-round selection, and he responded with a joke about their first-round plans.
“We were trying to figure out what we’re going to do on draft day,” Grier said. “One of the guys said ‘we’ll just watch Tyreek highlights in the draft room to make us feel good.'”
That’ll probably be the exact same thing that a lot of fans will be doing this year while other teams are experiencing the thrills of the first round of the 2022 NFL draft.
