Chris Evans Makes Surprise Cameo As Johnny Storm In Deadpool & Wolverine

Chris Evans looks happy.

Actor Chris Evans recently made a surprise cameo in the record-breaking Marvel movie Deadpool & Wolverine, at the invitation of his friend and fellow actor Ryan Reynolds. Evans reprised his role as Johnny Storm/Human Torch from the Fantastic Four franchise, a character he first portrayed in 2005's Fantastic Four and later in 2007's Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer.

Reynolds reached out to Evans with the idea of bringing back Johnny Storm, and Evans enthusiastically accepted the opportunity. He expressed his trust in Reynolds, citing a previous cameo in Free Guy and his willingness to do anything asked of him by Reynolds. Evans described the experience as fun and enjoyable, both during filming and watching the final product.

Despite being best known for his portrayal of Steve Rogers/Captain America in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, Evans embraced the chance to revisit his earlier superhero role. His appearance in Deadpool & Wolverine marked a return to the character after almost two decades, showcasing his versatility as an actor.

Following his involvement in the film, Evans expressed gratitude to director Shawn Levy, Reynolds, and Hugh Jackman for allowing him to be part of the project. He took to social media to convey his appreciation, describing playing Johnny Storm again as a dream come true and expressing his fondness for the character.
