Kalle Sauerland has admitted he would stage a fight between Chris Eubank Jr and Jake Paul despite having better options in mind.
Eubank Jr will fight in one of the biggest showdowns of his career when he inherits a family rivalry and takes on Conor Benn at London's O2 arena on October 8. It will be a battle with huge significance with the fighters' fathers having shared a two-fight rivalry when they first met over 32 years ago.
In the build-up to the announcement of his fight with Benn, Eubank Jr opted to call out Paul to a potential lucrative clash on Twitter, writing: "Yo Jake Paul. Once I deal with Benn and you take care of Rahman how about me and you go for a couple of rounds. I’ll come in at 160lb, you come in at whatever weight you want. Winner gets CANELO. And don’t worry I am not Tommy Fury, if I say I will do something, it gets done."
Paul didn't respond, but Eubank Jr's promoter Sauerland has admitted he would not release Eubank Jr for the fight so would have no choice but to be involved. "It wouldn't be my first pick but I would not release Eubank Jr to do it so yes I would be willing to be involved," Sauerland said. "Jake Paul says a lot when the day is long and he has had so many names in his mouth but has never had any in a ring."
"I don't think I've ever seen anyone put so many names in my mouth but the one to make in this segment is KSI v Jake Paul. Jake Paul has been called out by a lot of boxers because they view it as an easy pay cheque." Eubank Jr will first have the task of dispatching Benn which could also lead to a rematch if there is significant demand following their maiden clash.
It is likely he will then return to the middleweight title trail afterwards if he wins, having beaten Liam Williams to continue his quest for a world title shot back in February. His upcoming rival Benn believes he should fight Paul if he loses, with the YouTube star having already waded into his row over the upcoming catchweight in October.

He then reiterated his own call to face Paul after Benn's jibe, admitting he is a "prizefighter" and would be open to the clash. With the fight being talked up, Eubank Jr has previously stated he is fond of YouTube fighters bringing new eyes to the sport.
"I have seen all of the YouTube boxing I have been involved in and helped train KSI for his first fight against Logan Paul," Eubank Jr said. They seem to create this new niche in the sport where they are coming into the ring with limited fights and making millions of dollars. Boxing is the entertainment business, if you are not excited to watch if you don’t have a following."
