Chris Eubank Jr still hopes to touch gloves with Conor Benn in a hugely-anticipated domestic showdown this weekend.
The British pair are due to settle a rivalry which has began ever since their fathers first touched gloves 32 years ago in an epic two-part clash. But the fight was plunged into doubt earlier this week when it was revealed Benn failed a drug test in August.
Both fighters want the bout to proceed but the British Boxing Board of Control has insisted they will not sanction the fight - leaving promoters Eddie Hearn and Kalle Sauerland locked in a legal battle.

Eubank Jr v Benn will take place on Saturday, October 8 at London's O2 arena. The event will be co-promoted by Matchroom Boxing and Wasserman Boxing and will feature the likes of Lyndon Arthur and Felix Cash on the undercard.
What time will Chris Eubank Jr v Conor Benn start in the UK?
The event will kick off at around 7pm with proceedings to get going with the undercard. The main event ring walks are expected at around 10:30pm with the headline act getting underway in the ring shortly afterwards. Timings will depend on the duration of the prior bouts.

The event will be broadcast exclusively on DAZN's pay-per-view platform.
