A group of Irish women preparing to strip for charity were stunned when they stumbled across Patricia, the Stripper singer Chris de Burgh.
The ladies were discussing their Strip and Dip event at a Wicklow hotel before swimming naked at a secluded beach at the weekend in aid of children’s cancer charity, Aoibheann’s Pink Tie.
Organiser Aileen Eglinton said: "We were at the hotel to discuss the Strip and Dip and someone was playing the piano.

"The noise was a bit loud and we couldn’t hear ourselves.
"We were chatting to Andrea Gilligan on Newstalk’s Lunchtime Live and someone asked the piano player to keep the noise down until our talk was over.
"When we discovered the piano player was Chris de Burgh, we couldn’t believe it!!
"All the ladies were delighted to meet him and we thought it was so funny as one of Chris’s big hits is Patricia the Stripper."
Aileen went on to say that Chris was very charming and even agreed to join them on the Newstalk chat.
"He was asking us all about the charity and we told him we were stripping off for the event.
"We told him we were the best dippers in town and he laughed.
"I was wearing a red dress and I said to Chris that Lady in Red was my favourite song.
"He said everyone is always saying that to him.
"Even though he has written hundreds of songs, Lady in Red is apparently the only song anyone ever wants to talk about.
"It was such a random encounter. There we were talking about stripping and we suddenly bump into a world famous singer who had a hit about a stripper - you couldn’t make it up!"
The strictly women-only event went on to raise over €90,000 after Saturday’s Strip and Dip, where over a thousand like-minded ladies shed their clothes for a great cause.
So far the event has raised almost €1.2 million in 10 years for the children’s charity.
