Cholera outbreak in French overseas department of Mayotte: Cases double in 48 hours

In the French overseas department of Mayotte, authorities have opened a second cholera unit. The number of confirmed cholera cases now stands at 26 since mid-March. France's Regional Health Agency (ARS) has also announced a new emergency unit at the island's main hospital to ensure the care of sick individuals. So what is cholera and how serious is this outbreak? FRANCE 24's Julia Sieger tells us more.
