In-demand South Korea standout Cho Gue-sung is reportedly a transfer target for Premiership champions Celtic.
Record Sport revealed Giorgos Giakoumakis is poised to leave the Premiership champions after talks over a new deal stalled with the Greek striker. And now the Scottish Sun claim the 24-year-old World Cup star is on the Parkhead radar. Gue-sung netted a double against Ghana but it wasn't enough for his country to earn a point as the Black Stars earned a late winner.
But Gue-sun's goal exploits have been on the radar of clubs long before he headed to Qatar and he was free-scoring during his loan spell with Gimcheon Sangmu as he netted 13 goals in 24 games last season. And now Ange Postecoglou could be among the managers ready to make a move for the 24-year-old. South Korea FA vice-president Lee Young-pyo believes the transfer interest for one of the country's rising stars is rising. He said: "After the first game against Uruguay, the technical director of a very good club in Europe contacted me about a scout report for Cho Gue-sung."
