Chloe Madeley shares first photo of baby daughter as she gushes they are 'besotted'

Chloe Madeley says she and husband James Haskell are "utterly besotted" with their new baby daughter.

The couple welcomed their first child into the world together earlier this week, and shared their happy news with their fans on social media on Sunday [August 14].

Chloe, 35, and her I'm A Celebrity star husband James, 37, are "beaming with pride" thanks to their new arrival, after unexpectedly falling pregnant at the end of last year following a struggle to conceive.

It comes after Chloe's dad Richard Madeley told Good Morning Britain viewers that his eldest daughter was 'ready to pop' earlier this month.

Taking to Instagram on Sunday afternoon, new mum Chloe shared the first snap of her daughter with her delighted followers and opened up about how she and James were feeling after becoming parents for the first time.

Captioning a black-and-white picture of her baby's hand, the star wrote: "We are delighted to welcome to the world our daughter. We are utterly besotted and beaming with pride.

"Our baby girl was born Wednesday morning, 10/08/22, 8.36am."

Chloe's followers and famous friends rushed to the comment section to send their messages of congratulations and well-wises to the new mum and James following their announcement.

"Awww congrats! X," I'm a Celebrity...Get Me Out of Here! star Frankie Bridge wrote, while former Made in Chelsea star Louise Thompson excitedly told her fellow mum: "CONGRATULATIONS YOU TWO."

"So so happy for you chlo.." Emmerdale actress Hayley Soraya added, with former X Factor contestant Lucy Spraggan writing: "Eyyyyyyy!!!! Congratulations!!!"

Chloe and James' happy news comes following their pregnancy announcement in February this year, in which they opened up about a two-year struggle to conceive a baby.

The fitness-loving star explained how she was conscious not to share too much surrounding her pregnancy on social media, as was is mindful of others who may be going through similar struggles.

"Well, I suppose there are a few reasons why I'm not solely or constantly posting about being pregnant..." she explained during a Q&A on Instagram in March.

"1. As wonderful as it is, there is actually a lot more to my life than the fact that I'm pregnant. Quite a lot more.

"I remember when I was trying, for 2 years, and it was hard watching everyone around me get pregnant."

Chloe added that she never felt 'envious' about other people's pregnancies, just 'sad'.

Speaking to OK! Magazine at one point during her pregnancy, Chloe revealed she and James were on the verge of considering IVF and adoption before unexpectedly falling pregnant at the end of last year.

Chloe explained how they hadn’t been using contraception 'for months', and began to get worried early last year when she still wasn’t pregnant.

The personal trainer told the publication: "I was getting to grips with the fact it might have to happen like that for me."

But after initially struggling to conceive, she was over the moon to announce her pregnancy two days after her dad Richard made a shock departure from I'm a Celebrity....Get Me Out Of Here.

Chloe's parents TV presenters Richard, 65, and Judy Finnigan, 65, are already doting grandparents to their son Jack's little boy Kit, born in 2018 and are over the moon by the little one's arrival.

The telly duo also have two other grandchildren, on Judy's son's side of the family, who are Ivy, seven and Edith, three.
