Chiquis reveals her heartbreaking miscarriage in another heartbreak for Jenni Rivera's family

In a deeply emotional revelation, música mexicana Queen Bee, Chiquis shared the heartbreaking news of suffering a miscarriage this weekend. The Latina artist took to social media to announce her loss, moving fans and followers with her raw and honest disclosure.

The eldest daughter of Jenni Rivera, who was in the early stages of pregnancy, was keeping the news of the gestation private, but chose to reveal her miscarriage to explain why she had to cancel a concert in Albuquerque.

Chiquis also explained that she drew "strength" from her online community and her fans, and she wanted to normalize these kinds of issues so that other women who are going through or have gone through similar situations feel seen. This is the same reason why other celebrities, such as Alejandra Espinoza and Roselyn Sánchez, among others, have shared their miscarriage stories before.

Chiquis painful announcement

With tears in her eyes, Chiquis recounted the tragic moment. "While preparing for my concert in Albuquerque, I suffered the loss of my pregnancy. It was a deeply personal and painful experience that I hadn't shared publicly because it was so early," she explained. This unfortunate event led to the postponement of her concert, as she found herself unable to perform both physically and emotionally.

Chiquis, whose real name is Janney Marín, has been engaged to photographer Emilio Sánchez for the past year. They received an outpouring of support from her fans and family during this difficult time. "Your love and understanding mean the world to me," she expressed, showing gratitude for the compassionate messages she received.

The Mexican-American star is not alone in her grief. Many Latino celebrities have courageously shared their own experiences with miscarriage, helping to destigmatize this often hidden tragedy.

Other Latina celebrities have shared their miscarriage Stories

The television presenter and beauty queen Alejandra Espinoza, has been open about her struggles with fertility and her miscarriage experiences. In a honest and intimate interview in 2014, she revealed that she had lost three babies before getting pregnant with her only son Mateo.

Mexican presenter Rebecca de Alba revealed during an interview on the program "Historias Engarzadas" that she was pregnant with Ricky Martin's baby but lost the child. "We had a loss, yes. We were going to be parents, but it didn't happen. It's not a tragedy, and it's not something terrible, nor does the world end. That's why when people criticize this relationship, they can't imagine how painful the loss of a little person can be."

In august of 2018, Mexican Miss Universe and actress Ximena Navarrette revealed on social media that she had lost what would have been her first baby with husband Juan Carlos Valladares. Luckily, the couple were able to achieve their dream of being parents later and nowadays have two young children.

How is Chiquis after the miscarriage?

Despite the pain, Chiquis remains resilient. According to her doctors, she can continue her tour in Texas, with performances scheduled for June 7, 8, and 9. "I know many of you have been concerned about me. I am stable and resting," Rivera assured her fans. "I am incredibly grateful for your love and support during this difficult moment in my life."

As Rivera takes steps towards healing, her brave sharing of such a personal loss helps to normalize conversations about miscarriage, offering solace to many women who face this sorrow in silence. Her story, alongside those of Espinoza, De Alba and Navarrete, shines a light on the shared experiences of loss and the collective strength found in community and openness.
