There are 12 Chinese Zodiac signs and depending on which one you are, your year could be either extremely successful or you could be facing a bumpy ride.
TikToker Dr Candise, the Chinese tutor, who has over 1.2m followers has made the following predictions for the Chinese New Year for each zodiac.
The Rabbit
(2023, 2011, 1999, 1987, 1975, 1963, 1951…)
Dr Candise says those born in the year of the Rabbit that 2023 will be a “difficult” year, saying your luck is at its weakest when it’s the same zodiac as the year.
She says while you will make more money than last year “there will be lots of unexpected expenses” and advises those with the rabbit zodiac to “stop buying unnecessary things and save some for the possible rainy days.”
Unlucky news for singletons as Dr Candise added if you’re single, the chance of meeting the right person for you “is low.”
The Dragon
(2012, 2000,1988, 1976, 1964, 1952…)
For those with the Dragon zodiac, Candise predicts it will be a difficult year work wise. She says you are not favoured “by your leader or supervisor” and advises dragons that their time is better spent upskilling professionally rather than sucking up to bosses.
"Don’t dream of becoming rich this year,” she adds, saying your salary will only support your daily needs.
In better news, Candise says if you are dating someone, it won’t be a bad year to get married. “Chinese believe a wedding ceremony can help decrease the influence of misfortunes in other aspects.”
The Snake
(2013, 2001. 1989, 1977, 1965, 1953…)
Dr Candise said “congrats” to anyone born in the year of the snake as you will have very good luck with money. You will do a very good job in work which she predicts will “win you opportunities for a promotion and higher salary.”
She advised single snakes to attend more social activities to increase your chances of finding a significant other, and said wearing red or yellow accessories or clothes such as socks, gloves, bracelets or ties, will boost your luck with wealth.
The Horse
(2014, 2002, 1990, 1978, 1966, 1954…)
Those with the horse zodiac are in for an “amazing” new year, thanks to your “super talent and hard work.” Candise predicts you will get a promotion and possibly earn a higher salary.
She said business owners will make a breakthrough, earning more profits than before.
Candise predicts that if you are single, you will be set-up by a family member and advised those with the horse zodiac not to be afraid to go on blind dates.
The TikTok tutor predicts those already in relationships may get married this year which will bring “more good luck to you and your family.”
The Goat
(2015, 2003, 1991, 1979, 1967, 1955…)
Goats can expect a “pretty great” 2023, with more appreciation from your superiors at work. Dr Candise advised people to “pay attention to the friends and partners you make in business” because having a “good network of connections” will save you money in the long run.
While financially horses will have a good year, Dr Candise predicts a turbulent love life. “You will have trouble attracting potential love interests. Don’t get your hopes up. Any budding romances will turn rotten!”
She advised married couples to “keep a low profile otherwise you may get involved in unwanted affairs.”
The Monkey
(2016, 2004, 1992, 1980, 1968, 1956…)
“Lots of twists and turns” are predicted for monkey zodiacs this year!

Candise says there will be a few green eyed monsters among your work colleagues and says you need to “adjust your mentality” and look for other means to make money.
Your love life will be lucky - singletons are expected to start dating this year, however, she warns you to run a background check on the people you date this year as there is a chance of getting involved in “unethical relationships or secret affairs.”

If you’re single, chances of you meeting someone new this year are slim, Candise predicts, and warns against engaging in toxic affairs, as this will “greatly affect your mental health and result in financial losses.”
The Dog
(2018, 2006, 1994, 1982, 1970, 1958…)
It’s a good year to be a dog! An abundance of luck is coming your way according to Dr Candise, and you will make “personal breakthroughs in your career, particularly if you work as a Government official or in finance.”
Business owners can expect a “slow but stable and protected source of income.”

Career wise you will be given many opportunities to showcase your talents which in turn will see you receive promotions and bigger pay checks.
If you’re married, you will have a stable year, and if you’re single and meet someone you like, she says you must take initiative this year as you’re facing some competition.
Health wise, Candise says your luck in health is average, and advises you to pay attention to your sleep issues.
The Rat
(2020, 2008, 2996, 1984, 1972, 1960…)
You can expect a year of changes if your zodiac sign is the rat.
Workwise, you’re going to be one of the top performers in the office this year, however, Candise says this will attract jealous and advises keeping your success “low-key” to avoid any trouble.
Dr Candise says your chances of meeting the wrong person this year is very likely, so advises singletons to not rush into any relationships. She also advises that this is not the right year for females to get pregnant.
The Ox
(2021, 2009, 1997, 1985, 1973, 1961…)
Dr Candise said your 2023 is going to be rather “bumpy” and predicts you could become injured in an accident. While Candise advises not to take the predictions too seriously, she reminded viewers that “curiosity kills the cat.”
Your 2023 is both good and bad, however, she predicts you will perform poorly in work which may make you disliked by your colleagues.
Singletons may face another year without love, Drr Candise says, and advises couples to take more trips together to avoid growing apart.
The Tiger
(2022, 2010, 1998, 1986, 1974, 1962, 1950…)
Tigers can also expect a bumpy year! Dr Candise predicts you won’t outshine your colleague this year and “chance of promotion is slim.”
