Chilling footage shows the moment that a murderer laughs as he is told that he is being arrested for raping and killing a university student as she walked home from a night out.
Libby Squire was abducted and murdered by Pawel Relowicz in the early hours of February 1, 2019. As part of a powerful three-part series about the crime on Sky, a video of Relowicz's arrest has been obtained and released, Hull Live reports.
In the footage, Relowicz, then aged 24, is placed in the back of the police car, flanked by two officers and handcuffed, wearing a grey t-shirt. His arrest came in August, seven months after Libby vanished.

The officer says: “We say you are under arrest for the murder and rape of Libby Squire in Hull on Friday, February 1, 2019.” At this point Relowicz laughs in either exasperation or derision.
The interpreter then relays back to him in Polish and he declares his innocence saying: “Impossible. I haven’t done anything. This is 100 per cent sure I would never kill a human being.” As he shakes his head, he continues: “I have never killed anyone in my life and I will never kill anyone.”
The arrest came after Libby’s body was found in the water just off Cleethorpes, Lincolnshire. Examinations found semen in her body which matched that of Relowicz. Up to that point he denied there ever being any sexual contact between them.
The documentary then goes on to view the interview with Relowicz in the police station. When asked if he killed her, he replies “no comment”. He was then asked if he put her body in the river and again replies “no comment”.
He had originally given an account of being a Good Samaritan. But when asked about his semen being found and whether he had raped Libby, he again responded with “no comment”.
Detective Sergeant Paul Walker, of Humberside Police’s Major Crime Team, said: “Pawel was not really emotional, not really explaining anything to us. He seemed to be laughing and smiling and seemed to be taking it as some kind of joke."
Relowicz was asked during the interview why he was laughing and smirking but gave nothing but “no comment”. DS Walker said that if Relowicz had any plausible version of events that was the time to give it but he gave nothing.
He was jailed last year for killing philosophy student Libby before dumping her body in the River Hull. Relowicz had spotted Libby on a bench on Beverley Road, in Hull, after she was turned away from The Welly nightclub in the early hours.
It was later revealed Relowicz had been leading a sick double life in which he stalked and sexually assaulted young women in Hull.
‘Libby, are you home yet’ has access to Libby’s family, friends and the police with the series chronicling her life, the hours that led to her death and the exhaustive investigation that followed. The series also challenges the narrative of victim-blaming - where women seem to be solely responsible for their own personal safety.
This week Libby’s mum Lisa has agreed to meet her through a restorative justice charity. She is determined to find out the exact circumstances surrounding Libby’s death.
Speaking to Sky News, Lisa Squire said: "A lot of people don't understand this - I don't hate him. I'm not angry with him. I just want information from him.
"I don't wish to forgive him. I don't wish to understand why he did what he did. For me, it's very much about finding out how she was in those last 20 minutes of her life."
‘Libby, are you home yet?’ begins at 9pm tonight (Thursday October 27) on Sky Crime and will also be available of Now TV. It will run for three episodes over the next three Thursdays.
