Following a disturbing discovery in a suburban Detroit home, three children have captured the hearts of many as donations of clothes and money flood in to support them. The Oakland County Sheriff, Mike Bouchard, described the situation as heartbreaking, stating that the children, aged 15, 13, and 12, were essentially abandoned by their mother for years.
The children were found living in squalor, surrounded by trash and feces, with conditions so severe that investigators had to wear hazmat suits. Sheriff Bouchard revealed that the mother would sporadically leave food on the porch but had minimal contact with her children, who were left to fend for themselves in unimaginable circumstances.
Upon discovering the children, who had been living in isolation for years, the authorities intervened and the mother was taken into custody pending potential charges. The children's father, who had lost touch with them while incarcerated, was also prevented from reuniting with them by their mother upon his release.

Despite the harrowing ordeal they endured, the children are now receiving the care and support they desperately need. Medical examinations, new clothes, and assistance with personal hygiene are just some of the ways in which the community is rallying around them.
Sheriff Bouchard expressed gratitude for the swift progress the children have made in just a few days, highlighting the resilience and strength they have shown in the face of adversity. The outpouring of donations and support serves as a beacon of hope for these children as they embark on their journey towards healing and recovery.
