Donald Glover's musical project Childish Gambino has made a triumphant return with the release of a reimagined album and the announcement of a new tour. The artist surprised fans by dropping the album 'ATAVISTA' on streaming platforms, revealing that it is actually the completed version of his 2020 album '3.15.20.'
In March 2020, several new Childish Gambino tracks were briefly available on DonaldGloverPresents.com before being taken down. A week later, '3.15.20' was officially released, featuring guest appearances from artists like Ariana Grande and 21 Savage. However, this album was also later removed from streaming services.
The newly released version of the album includes two fresh tracks, 'Atavista' and 'Human Sacrifice,' with guest spots from Young Nudy and Summer Walker. To mark the release of 'Atavista,' Glover unveiled a music video for 'Little Foot Big Foot,' directed by Hiro Murai and starring Quinta Brunson, Rob Bynes, Monyett Crump, and others.
Furthermore, Glover has announced 'The New World Tour,' marking his first tour since 2019. The tour is set to kick off on August 11 in Oklahoma City and will make stops in various major North American cities before heading to Europe, the U.K., Australia, and New Zealand. The tour is scheduled to conclude on February 11, 2025, in Perth, Australia.
Joining Childish Gambino on tour as openers are WILLOW (Willow Smith's musical moniker) and Amaarae. Tickets for the tour are set to go on sale this Friday, offering fans the opportunity to experience Glover's latest musical endeavors live on stage.
