Child Rails Against Modern College Football, Praises Nick Saban in Epic Paul Finebaum Call

If you're of a certain age, you may think bemoaning the lucrative state of modern college football as inferior to an idealized past is solely the domain of your parents or grandparents.

Think again.

On Thursday, as the college football world slowly came to terms with life after legendary Alabama coach Nick Saban, a child by the name of Dominic from Pittsburgh had some eyebrow-raising thoughts on why the longtime Crimson Tide boss stepped away now.

"I can't really blame him (for retiring), though, having to deal with all this NIL bull-crap and kids not wanting to compete anymore," Dominic told Finebaum. "He will forever be the GOAT. Roll damn Tide, Paul! See you, buddy."

"You got it. Over and out, Dominic," a chuckling and slightly bewildered Finebaum said as a means of farewell.

Whether Saban did, in fact, retire because of college football's seismic landscape shifts is up for debate—Saban himself denied that on ESPN Thursday and insisted the move was more for his own health.

Regardless of why he left, as Dominic has shown, you can't say that Saban didn't inspire the youth.
