A young child has died in a fire in the Melbourne suburb of Ringwood, with police investigating the circumstances.
Emergency Services were called to an address on Belle Vue Avenue about 6pm on Saturday after reports of a fire.
Fire crews extinguished a blaze in a shed at the rear of the property, and the body of a young child was found inside.
The child is believed to be a resident of the property.
Victoria Police says the circumstances surrounding the fatal fire are yet to be determined and the investigation is ongoing.
