Chiefs WR Xavier Worthy was electric in K.C.’s Super Bowl LIX loss to Eagles

The Kansas City Chiefs were throttled by the Philadelphia Eagles in Super Bowl LIX, but the performance of rookie wide receiver Xavier Worthy was a development that fans in Western Missouri can be pleased with.

Worthy was targeted eight times in the game, and caught all four of the passes thrown his way. By the end of Super Bowl LIX, Worthy gained 157 yards and scored two touchdowns, which helped make Kansas City’s loss look a bit less embarrassing on paper.

Though it took some time for star quarterback Patrick Mahomes to find Worthy downfield, the rookie made the most of every opportunity he was given.

Check out these videos of Worthy’s outstanding touchdown receptions:

Worthy was the Chiefs’ first-round pick in the 2024 NFL draft, and managed to exceed the sky-high expectations placed on him when he joined the then-defending Super Bowl champions.

Though Kansas City’s loss will sting for the foreseeable future, Worthy’s incredible performance in Super Bowl LIX will forever be a part of the Chiefs’ Super Bowl history.
