The Kansas City Chiefs’ undefeated start to the 2024 season has them viewed as the team to beat again in the league. Patrick Mahomes and second-year star Rashee Rice have exploded for productive connections in each of the team’s first three contests.
Rice spoke with the media following his big Sunday night performance against the Atlanta Falcons, contributing to the 22-17 road victory. He addressed Mahomes’ critical self-evaluation of his play to start the season when he said earlier at the podium, “I haven’t played very well.”
“I love that just because he’s the greatest quarterback I’ve ever played with,” said Rice. “So, whenever he feels like he hasn’t had a great game. I feel the same way, so we just got to get back to practice so he can do better together.”
Rice led the team in receiving again in Week 3, with 12 catches for 110 yards and a touchdown. He continues to applaud the confidence his quarterback has in him in such a short amount of time. He is anticipating more success, especially with Mahomes expecting more out of himself.
