The Kansas City Chiefs have mounted a second-half comeback against the Philadelphia Eagles (at least temporarily) in Super Bowl LVII and they have midseason trade acquisition Kadarius Toney to thank.
Not only did Toney score a five-yard touchdown reception, but on the ensuing drive he set up another score with a 65-yard punt return. He weaved through traffic and set Patrick Mahomes up for an easy score to Skyy Moore. Toney’s punt return was good for the NFL record longest punt return in Super Bowl history and the longest postseason punt return in Chiefs franchise history.

Toney was seldom used in the first half, with just one snap in the first and second quarters combined. They unleashed him during the second half on offense and special teams and they’re seeing all of the benefits.
