Though Kadarius Toney isn’t at the Kansas City Chiefs’ Friday workouts, he took to Twitter to react to a highlight of quarterback Patrick Mahomes completing a deep bomb to receiver Marquez Valdes-Scantling.
The play was filmed during the passing portion of the Chiefs’ Friday practice session and was unquestionably the top play by Kansas City’s first-team offense.

Highlight reel efforts like these have characterized the Chiefs’ training camp to this point, and Mahomes has looked as electric as ever during each of Kansas City’s practices. The chemistry being built between the reigning MVP and his receivers now is sure to pay dividends when the regular season kicks off in September.
For his part, Valdes-Scantling hauled in 42 passes for 687 yards and two touchdowns last season, playing a key role in the Chiefs’ offense as the team made its run to Super Bowl LVII. If he can make more connections like this with Mahomes in 2023, expect his production to skyrocket.
