Patrick Mahomes had a hard time getting the Kansas City Chiefs offense in rhythm against the Carolina Panthers in Week 12 but seems to have refined his approach in the second half.
After two early touchdown receptions by tight end Noah Gray, Mahomes needed to look for another target when the Chiefs drove into Carolina’s end of the field on their first possession in the third quarter.
A ten-play 75-yard drive ended in a touchdown pass from Mahomes to veteran wide receiver DeAndre Hopkins that extended Kansas City’s lead over the Panthers heading into the fourth quarter.
Take a look at Mahomes’ connection with Hopkins in this video, which was posted to Twitter by the Chiefs’ official account:

Expect Mahomes to continue looking Hopkins’ way as Kansas City looks to close out its Week 12 matchup against Carolina.
With a victory, the Chiefs will earn their tenth win of the regular season, and maintain a slim lead over the Buffalo Bills for the No. 1 seed in the AFC playoffs.
