Travis Kelce had an eventful week after the Chiefs won the Super Bowl on Sunday, and he went on to be a guest on The Tonight Show later in the week. But that wasn’t the last of the announcements from the tight end.
He told Jimmy Fallon that he will be hosting Saturday Night Live on March 4 with Kelsea Ballerini as the musical guest.
“Growing up, I was a huge [Chris] Farley, Will [Ferrell], Fallon kind of guy growing up. I used to watch Saturday Night Live with my mother, and it’s an absolute honor and a privilege to be hosting SNL March 4,” Kelce said.
Fallon jumped from his chair in celebration, saying, “Come on, bud,” before going to shake his hand. “It’s going to be great,” the comedian said twice.
“I am so nervous for that,” Kelce said. Fallon responded, “You are going to be so good,” adding that he told someone how the tight end is “so charming and he can sing and he’s fun.”
This year’s Super Bowl was a special one as Travis faced off against his brother, Eagles center Jason Kelce. After Kansas City defeated Philadelphia, 38–35, the brothers shared a wholesome moment on the field.
It looks like a thrilling start to 2023 for the Kelce family will only continue.
