Chiefs TE Travis Kelce reveals plans for the next three years: ‘I’m still playing football’

Super Bowl Opening Night is filled with some of the wildest questions each player will ever hear. The Kansas City Chiefs have experienced it more than most, and Pro Bowl tight end Travis Kelce was asked by reporters about potentially still playing in the next three years.

“Where will I be in three years? I don’t know. Hopefully, I’m still playing football; I love doing this. I love coming to work every day. I feel like I’ve still got a lot of good football left in me. We’ll see what happens.” said Kelce. “I know I’ve been setting myself up for other opportunities in my life. That’s always been the goal, knowing that football only lasts so long. You’ve got to find a way to get into another career and another profession. I’ve been doing that in my offseasons. But for the most part, I plan on being a Kansas City Chief and playing football.”

Kelce finished the season under 1,000 yards again for the second consecutive season, and his focus was less on his stats and more on the team’s game plan. He has quickly carved out a career in entertainment as a host and actor outside of football, which could become even more fruitful in retirement. The 35-year-old holds multiple franchise and league records and three Super Bowl titles.
