Chiefs TE Travis Kelce now owns most postseason TDs in franchise history

Kansas City Chiefs QB Patrick Mahomes wasn’t the only one breaking records on Sunday night.

After scoring the game-winning touchdown in overtime, Chiefs TE Travis Kelce now has 11 career postseason touchdowns. That number is good for the most ever by any player in franchise history, ousting former Chiefs RB Damien Williams who was tied with Kelce for the lead at 10.

Here is a look at the postseason leaderboard for Kansas City after this game:

  1. Travis Kelce: 11 TDs
  2. Damien Williams: 10 TDs
  3. Tyreek Hill & Patrick Mahomes (tie): 5 TDs
  4. Marcus Allen, Mike Garrett and Knile Davis (tie): 3 TDs

The 10 touchdowns for Williams are still super impressive because he did so in five career games. By comparison, it took Kelce 14 career games to get to 11 touchdowns.

Kelce is one step closer to tying former Steelers great John Stallworth for the third-most postseason touchdown receptions in NFL history. He needs one touchdown in next week’s game to tie Stallworth’s 12 career receiving touchdowns. Kelce also needs four more touchdowns to tie Buccaneers TE Rob Gronkowski for the most postseason touchdowns by a tight end in NFL history.

Another leaderboard that Kelce is moving up is the all-time postseason receptions list. He now has 96 receptions in the postseason which is good for the fourth-most in NFL history. He trails only Gronkowski (98), Julian Edelman (118) and Jerry Rice (151).

It’s just another weekly reminder from Kelce that he’s the best to ever do it, postseason and otherwise.
