Kansas City Chiefs QB Patrick Mahomes and TE Travis Kelce remain among the top earners on the NFLPA’s top 50 player sales list.
The NFLPA’s latest list covers all player officially licensed NFL merchandise sales from March 1, 2021, through November 30, 2021. That group of items includes game jerseys, T-shirts, hoodies, bobbleheads, plush toys, socks, face coverings, headbands, figurines, wall decals, photos, drinkware, pet products and so on.
The NFLPA’s last look at the quarterly sales had Mahomes and Kelce right at the top of the pack and this one is not much different. Mahomes came in No. 2 behind recently-retired Buccaneers QB Tom Brady. Kelce came in No. 18. One of Brady and Mahomes has been in the No. 1 spot for 11 consecutive times since October of 2018 per the NFLPA’s reporting.
According to the NFLPA, Mahomes led the NFL in collegiate co-brand drinkware from GameTime Sidekicks, youth apparel from Outerstuff, The Lang Company calendars, accessories from Party Animal and medical scrubs for nurses and doctors from TiScrubs. He placed in the top 5 in jersey sales, FOCO bobbleheads, Fathead wall cutouts, JUNK headbands. Kelce placed in the top 5 for FOCO bobbleheads.
Now that Brady has retired, it’ll be interesting to see if Mahomes can reclaim the No. 1 merchandise sales spot. He probably won’t need to worry about new challengers as Cincinnati Bengals QB Joe Burrow has dropped six spots (No. 4 to No. 10) in merchandise sales from the previous quarter.
