Chiefs QB Patrick Mahomes loved Bengals’ new signing in free agency

The Cincinnati Bengals just made a signing in free agency and the biggest fan of the move is…Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes. 

There’s a confusing one for fans.

Per a report, Cincinnati signed veteran cornerback Nate Brooks on Friday to bolster the secondary during the sweltering heat of the summer and preseason games.

Mahomes saw the report in tweet form like anyone else on Friday and celebrated with a comment of his own, despite the fact Brooks signed with a fierce rival.

The connection? Both Mahomes and Brooks attended Whitehouse High School in Texas.

It just goes to show that some things are bigger than temporary pro rivalries, right? If Brooks makes the final roster with the Bengals, he’ll face Mahomes and the Chiefs in Week 2.
