Chiefs’ Patrick Mahomes Topples NFL Milestone in Win Over Jets

Patrick Mahomes went into the Chiefs’ Week 4 Sunday Night Football matchup against the Jets with 199 career touchdown passes, and it didn’t take him long to make NFL history in the prime-time affair.

Mahomes found a wide-open Noah Gray for a 34-yard touchdown pass late in the first quarter to reach 200 touchdown passes in the fewest games in league history.

The Chiefs star broke Dan Marino’s record by reaching the mark in just his 84th game. Marino threw his 200th touchdown pass in his 89th game career game back in 1989. Mahomes also topped 25,000 career passing yards last week in a win over the Bears. He reached that milestone in 83 games, breaking Matthew Stafford’s previous NFL record of 90.

The 28-year-old Mahomes is on pace to enjoy one of the best careers in NFL history in terms of statistics, as his latest record puts him in front of some elite company yet again.

  2. Dan Marino, Dolphins, 89 games
