The Kansas City Chiefs launched the Norma Hunt Training Camp Fellowship Program last offseason with the goal of creating opportunities for women within NFL front offices. Named after the team’s matriarch, Norma Hunt, this fellowship sought to provide women with hands-on experience in NFL front offices and ensuing opportunities in the league. It’s safe to say that the inaugural season of the fellowship was a success.
Inside The League’s Neil Stratton first noticed that the Chiefs have updated their front office listing to include Madison Aponte, who was one of two women to participate in the inaugural fellowship. The team actually announced the hiring of Aponte a few weeks ago, per their Linkedin page.

A Penn State graduate, Aponte received exposure to a number of different front office responsibilities as a fellow with the Chiefs last year. That includes pro and college scouting, free agent tryouts, salary cap and contract management, team operations, player engagement and other departments within football operations. She traveled with the team for at least one preseason game last year, attending the Week 1 game between the Chiefs and 49ers.
This upcoming season, Aponte will join Kunal Tanna, Anthony McGee and Jalen Myrick as a player personnel assistant, working in coordination with both the pro and college scouting departments for Kansas City.
