The Kansas City Chiefs are going to New Orleans for Super Bowl LIX to battle the Philadelphia Eagles. The team will have time to handle all the Super Bowl week festivities and explore the famous city.
During his press conference on Thursday, Chiefs head coach Andy Reid discussed a topic he takes seriously besides football: the local cuisine in New Orleans.
“Emeril’s, not that I’d turn any of them down,” said Reid. “When I was with the Eagles, the head chef there, a tremendous chef, was a huge Eagles fan. He invited me over and said I’m going to start at the ocean and finish at the mountains. He put me in the kitchen and said to have at it. He said I’ll stop when you’re full, so four hours later, we were done.”
The former Eagles head coach is going against his former team in Super Bowl LIX, creating a potential conflict of interest if he returns to the restaraunt.
“I probably won’t go there,” said Reid, jokingly, responding to a reporter’s question about concern for a possible poisoning before the game.
