The Kansas City Chiefs fought for a gritty road win over the Jacksonville Jaguars in Week 2. Though there remains plenty of room for the team to improve, the tenacity that Kansas City showed against Jacksonville was emblematic of the Chiefs’ identity.
The return of All-Pro stars Travis Kelce and Chris Jones played a major factor in the team’s success. While Kelce was held to a relatively pedestrian outing on paper, Jones managed to pick up his first sack of the new campaign, and did enough to earn Pro Football Focus’ third-highest grade among defenders in Week 2.

Jones’ inspired performance was a breath of fresh air for Chiefs fans who were growing concerned with the play of Kansas City’s defensive line. It never hurts to get a talent like Jones back on the field, and with more outings like the one he put together against Jacksonville, the Pro Bowl lineman should have no problem earning the incentives that he held out for.
