On Saturday, veteran cornerback Steven Nelson and rising linebacker Swayze Bozeman were activated by the Kansas City Chiefs’ active roster ahead of the team’s Super Bowl LIX matchup against the Philadelphia Eagles.
Nelson entered the NFL as one of the Chiefs’ third-round picks in the 2015 NFL draft, and cut his teeth with Kansas City early in his career. He played for the Eagles in 2021 and spent time with the Houston Texans before signing with the Chiefs’ practice squad this season.
Bozeman is a rookie who signed with Kansas City as a free agent after the 2024 NFL draft.
Take a look at the Chiefs’ official announcement of their decision to activate Nelson and Bozeman, which was posted to the team’s official Twitter account:

Though Kansas City’s coaching staff is unlikely to rely on Nelson and Bozeman when the Chiefs face off against Philadelphia on Sunday, both players are sure to be happy that they will get a chance to play, if called upon.
