The cash was declared later in line with the rules around donations. It’s not the first time Mr Lydiate has donated to MPs - or to Simon Clarke.
He previously gave Mr Clarke £8k in 2021 and £11k, across two donations, in 2019.
In October 2019, less than two months before the general election, he donated £2.5k to Dehenna Davison, Conservative MP for Bishop Auckland in County Durham.
Since 2019, Mr Lydiate has also given tens of thousands of pounds to the Conservative Party.
KIlfrost, which has been family-owned for three generations, started out in the 1930s. The business developed the first fluids to protect aircraft.
Mr Clarke and My Lydiate have both declined to comment.
