Chicago Bears request to interview former Georgia OC

The Chicago Bears have requested to interview Baltimore Ravens offensive coordinator Todd Monken for their vacant coaching position. Monken was the offensive coordinator at the University of Georgia from 2020-2022.

Monken served as Georgia’s offensive coordinator for a pair of national championships before accepting the job to become Baltimore’s offensive coordinator in 2023.

Baltimore, which is one of the best offensive coordinator jobs in the NFL, has one of the league’s top offenses in 2024. Having quarterback Lamar Jackson makes everything a little bit easier for Monken and company.

The Ravens are on an offensive tear and putting up numbers the NFL has seldom, if ever, seen.

“Baltimore’s historic offense has set league records for how balanced it can be. The 2024 Ravens became the first team in NFL history to have 40 passing and 20 rushing touchdowns. It’s also the first to post 4,000 passing yards and 3,000 rushing yards,” said the Ravens’ official website.

Of course, now is when the Ravens have to prove themselves. Baltimore needs to reach (and win) a Super Bowl during the Lamar Jackson era to silence its critics.

The Ravens (12-5) host the Pittsburgh Steelers in the AFC wild-card round on Saturday, Jan. 11 at 8 p.m. ET.
