Chhattisgarh: ED raids premises of Bhupesh Baghel's son in state 'liquor scam'

Raipur: The Enforcement Directorate (ED) on Monday carried out raids at premises linked to the son of former Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel in connection with the alleged liquor scam in the state.

The premises of Chaitanya Baghel in Bhillai and some other persons are being searched by the ED under the provisions of Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA).

The alleged Rs 2,161 crore liquor scam reportedly occurred during 2019-23 when the Bhupesh Baghel government was the CM of the state. 

ED has said the Chhattisgarh liquor 'scam' caused 'massive loss' to the state exchequer.
