Cheryl has fans rushing to Primark as she reunites with Girls Aloud stars for special collaboration

Cheryl Tweedy has sent her fans rushing to Primark after she revealed a very special collaboration with the high-street retailer. The singer took to Instagram on Tuesday (October 4) to share brand new photos of herself alongside her former Girls Aloud bandmates.

Cheryl, Nicola Roberts, Kimberley Walsh and Nadine Coyle could all be seen donning matching pyjamas which they glammed up with tights and towering high heels, all in honour of their late bandmate Sarah Harding. Sarah tragically died last year, aged 39, after being diagnosed with breast cancer which then spread to other parts of her body.

Next week, the remaining former members of the pop group are to host a fundraising gala for cancer research in honour of their late friend. The Primrose Ball will be held at The Londoner hotel in central London on October 8, with performances from the likes of Olly Alexander and a live auction which includes an original canvas depicting the pop star by artistic duo the Connor Brothers.

It comes after Cheryl, Nadine and Nicola took part in a 5k charity run, titled Race For Life For Sarah, to celebrate Harding’s life and raise money for breast cancer. However, Kimberley did hers while on a family holiday, roping in her loved ones for the challenge in Sarah's memory.

But the girls have now reunited for their first professional photo shoot in years and all to raise funds for the Christie NHS Foundation Trust, based in Withington, Manchester, and Cancer Research UK, as part of the Sarah Harding Breast Cancer Appeal.

The foursome struck a series of poses together as they donned the blue pyjamas and nighties decorated in stars which will go on sale at Primark while also showing off their stunning voluminous hairdos " Before Sarah passed away, we promised her we would fulfil her wish of raising money for vital research to help determine young women between the ages of 29 and 40 who could be at risk of breast cancer with no genetic history," Cheryl typed alongside the series of group and solo images.

"These pyjamas with @primark will raise a significant amount of money to help us achieve our promise to her. The PJ’s will be in all UK and ROI Primark stores from tomorrow. ALL proceeds raised will be split equally between The Christie Charitable Trust and Cancer Research UK."

And fans were quick to comment on the post, praising the girls for their latest fundraising efforts and vowing to head to their local story from Wednesday (October 5) to pick up some of the nightwear for themselves.

@ncoylefan simply said: "Thank you for doing this." @lg_home_edit commented: "Love this… Can’t beat primark pjs, need to get my hands on these." @ocam_06 wrote: "Wow! Well done girls. This is honestly so amazing! Sarah will be watching with pride." @artbysarahwhite heartbreakingly shared: "I lost my twin sister this year to Breast Cancer, I will be buying these, Thankyou."

@three_words_ox posted: "I love how much you are all doing for Sarah. She would love it so much! These pjs are so cute too." @sarahhardingaddicts replied: "Thank you so much for doing these they are beautiful."

But the pictures without Sarah also hit fans and they wanted to simply show their support. @ryanmarcx wrote: "This picture hits differently. So proud of you girls and Sarah would be too." @ cheryldaily replied: "S o good seeing you all together again but at the same time it hurts so much not seeing Sarah there she would be so proud of you girls. Aloud FOREVER ."

@chris_1987 commented: "So proud of you girls." @instajackbehan99 shareD: "Love you girls and Sarah would be so proud of you all." @shaunyrichardson posted: "Aww you girls look incredible. Such a lovely thought."

Last week, Cheryl spoke out about some of the last days she spent with Sarah before her tragic death. She has said in a new interview she wants to remember Sarah before her breast cancer diagnosis, rather than when she was experiencing her "darkest of days and nights."
