Cheryl has confirmed her face has changed – but she said it is a result of becoming a mother.
The former Girls Aloud singer, 35, debuted her new look after dropping the music video for her first single in four years, Love Made Me Do It, last Friday.
Fans questioned her appearance, but Cheryl has since insisted her face changed after giving birth to her son Bear.
“My whole body, even my face, everything’s changed since Bear was born,” she told Sunday Times Style.
“But I feel like I'm better than who I was. I don’t care what my body looks like in that respect. I created a life!
“I’m amazed by myself. And I’m kinder to myself because of it. I focus less on my insecurities, because they’re so much less relevant.”
Cheryl welcomed Bear, one, with Liam Payne in March 2017, but they split a year later.
Payne reached out to his ex after she dropped her new single, telling fans he can’t wait for her to release her upcoming album.
He tweeted: “Congratulations @CherylOfficial on your first release in 4 years can’t wait for everyone to hear the rest.”
His congratulatory post came days after Cheryl shut down speculation her new music is about Payne, after it was revealed she sings about falling for a “f*****” in her new single.
“That’s the easiest thing for the critics to write,” she said according to the Mirror.
“But actually, all the music and songs I’ve got ready were done way before we split, none of them are about anybody.”
But she appears to make a dig at ex-husbands Ashley Cole and Jean-Bernard Versini as she sings about being a “bad girl” at times but always a “good wife”.
