Cheryl was overcome by emotion on stage in London at the weekend, as the Geordie star ended her final performance in hit West End 2:22 A Ghost Story, before penning an emotional post to reflect on her time in the show.
The Girls Aloud star was full of excitement at the end of last year when she announced she'd be following in the footsteps of Laura Whitmore, Lily Allen and Giovanna Fletcher by playing Jenny in the critically acclaimed thriller. Cheryl tread the boards for the first time in the role back in January, as former EastEnders star Jake Wood was brought in at the last minute to replace an ill cast member.
Cheryl was showered with largely positive reviews from the critics who took their seats to see her. The Times review applauded Cheryl for making a 'confident debut,' while, reviewing for The Guardian, Arif Akbar wrote: "As her own X Factor moment, it is respectable enough for a first go, if blunt-edged: big on volume and sudden, thunderous anger," adding: "Cheryl convincingly plays rattled new mother Jenny."

Fans from all over the country and even the world have flocked to London's Lyric Theatre to see Cheryl in action over the last few months, with her Girls Aloud bandmates and Ant McPartlin among the stars who've taken their seats to watch her.
And on Saturday, her run as Jenny came to an end, with the 39-year-old left wiping away tears as she took her final bow to a standing ovation.
Cheryl has also taken to Instagram to post photos of herself with her co-stars at the show's wrap party, writing: "So .. that’s it 2:22 is done. And just like that a new adventure becomes a memory .. and what a memory it is. I have loved every second , every person ! . The director.. , All of our crew, the tech department, Kate, our understudies … everyone! They have all been so kind and amazing to me. I will forever be grateful for all of you and this amazing experience. Lou, Scott , Jake. I could not have asked for better cast members. I love you all lots."
With a message to fans, Cheryl continued: "And YOU the audience , every single audience member you have been incredible. You have MADE my experience. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for being right there with us.. every single performance. Thank you for all the love & support.. & gifts. Lots of gifts"
It was confirmed earlier this month that Jaime Winstone will be replacing Cheryl in 2:22, with newcomers to the cast for the show's next run also including EastEnders actor Ricky Champ and One Tree Hill star Sophia Bush.
