Jazz lovers are preparing for a six-day extravaganza as the Cheltenham Jazz Festival is returning for 2023.
The festival will feature over 50 concerts with a mix of established artists and pioneering emerging talent. It offers an eclectic mix of classic and contemporary jazz, including pop, blues and soul, alongside an array of exclusive collaborations, one-off shows and free performances.
Set in the picturesque Gloucestershire town, this year’s festival includes actor Damian Lewis playing tracks from his debut album.
Damian Lewis at the Cheltenham Jazz Festival
Lewis is a British actor famed for his role in TV dramas including Homeland and Band of Brothers, and most recently ITVX’s A Spy Among Friends.
Alongside acting, Lewis is a keen musician and has appeared in a few shows recently, including an intimate gig in London and at the Wilderness Festival in Oxfordshire.
He will be joined by a seven-piece outfit, who have previously sold out Ronnie Scott’s and The Jazz Café.

When and where is the Cheltenham Jazz Festival?
Cheltenham Jazz Festival will run from Wednesday April 26 to Monday May 1 in a tented festival village in the town’s Montpellier Gardens. The festival also reaches out beyond the festival village in Cheltenham and will include Cheltenham Town Hall, Parabola Arts Centre, Hotel du Vin and The Daffodil.
