The weather for the Cheltenham races is always a sore topic, with previous years' racegoers getting drenched before even watching a single race. This year, as spectators return for the first time since the 'infamous' festival of 2020, it will be a typically mixed bag.
Tuesday, the day the Cheltenham Festival kicks off, will be partially sunny in the morning, though it will feel quite chilly at around eight degrees Celsius. The afternoon will be overcast, but warmer, at around 13 degrees.
Wednesday looks less pleasant, with rain and heavy clouds all day long, according to the Met Office, and temperatures of between eight and 11 degrees. Even in the evening, when it brightens up a little, the rain is not predicted to go away.

Thursday is when things take a turn for the better. It'll be bright sunshine all day, with highs of around 13 degrees. And, for those thinking of what to wear, it'll be dry too, with a less-than-five per cent chance of rain all day.
And it's a similar story on Friday, too: bright sunshine, highs of 13 degrees, and less than five per cent chance that it'll rain. Beautiful stuff.
So enjoy it if you're lucky enough to have tickets. And if not, at least we can go for a nice sunny walk after work.
