The biggest week in the horse racing calendar has arrived, as some of the sport’s biggest owners, trainers, jockeys and horses descend on Gloucestershire for the 2022 Cheltenham Festival
This year’s festival is set to be a special one, as it sees the return of spectators for the first time in two years after the 2021 event was played behind closed doors due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
With those restrictions now gone, thousands and thousands of fans will make the trip to the Cheltenham course for four days of action-packed racing.
The festival will get off to a big start on Tuesday as day one sees one of the event’s heavily fancied runners Honeysuckle run in the eagerly anticipated Champion Hurdle at 3:30pm.
As well as that there is plenty more action across the whole day, and here is a full look at what you can expect.
