Chelsee Healey took her Hollyoaks co-star by surprise when she took to Instagram to revel in her return to Waterloo Road. Fans of the BBC series were flocking to social media with the same response as the actress reprised the role of Janeece Bryant.
She first played mouthy but kind-hearted pupil Janeece back in 2006. But the character couldn't keep away from Waterloo Road after finishing her education and later returned as as a secretary after falling pregnant with daughter Cheryl.
She left the show in 2012, three years before Waterloo Road was axed. But last week, the popular programme returned for a brand new series, filmed back in Greater Manchester, and episode two aired on BBC One on Tuesday night (January 10).

It showed Izzy Charles, played by Scarlett Thomas, trying to prepare for her mother's funeral after Chlo died in shock scenes at the end of episode one. Her dad, Donte Charles, played by Adam Thomas, was distraught by his loss and it was up to his daughter to try and prompt him into getting ready for his wife's funeral.
As mourners gathered at the church to say goodbye, Donte struggled to deliver his speech and upon seeing headteacher Kim Campbell in attendance, his anger emerged as he blamed the school for Chlo's death after a protest got out of hand.
As he stormed out of the church leaving his daughter alone to mourn her mother, there was a late arrival as Janeece got out of a taxi. After shouting at the taxi driver, Janeece embraced her grieving friend before gifting him a chain that was meant to be engraved with 'WWCD' for 'What Would Chlo Do', but she got the letters the wrong way around, and instead it asked 'What Would Do Chlo'.
She then encouraged him back into the church and started to read his speech on his behalf. But when she struggled to understand his writing, Donte found the strength to continue it himself. Later, viewers saw Janeece saying her goodbyes to the family.
But as she got into a taxi, she was left in tears leaving viewers, who haven't binge-watched the series on BBC iPlayer, to wonder whether she'll make another return.
Ahead of her reappearance in the show, Chelsee took to Instagram with a new snap of her alongside Adam as well as a series of throwback videos during her earlier years on Waterloo Road, which she joined at the very beginning in 2006.
One of the clips showed Chelsee as Janeece performing Shakira's hit, Hips Don't Lie, at the school. "Janeece is back…." she started the caption of her nostalgia-heavy post. "Back to where it started… i grew up on waterloo road feel so lucky i got to go back!
"Thankyou! Will always be so special to me and to work with are @adamthomas21 again. Thankyou for having me @waterlooroad. Couple of throw backs for you."
Responding to the post, Rory Douglas-Speed, who stars as Joel Dexter in Hollyoaks, appeared stunned. "Why am I only seeing this Shakira rendition now," he typed alongside a string of crying laughing emojis. He added: "Low-key slaps though…"
Her on-screen Hollyoaks son Malique Thompson-Dwyer wrote: "Go on chels," while fellow Channel 4 soap co-star Steph Waring simply commented: "Shakira Shakira." Former TOWIE star Megan McKenna also replied: "Yesssss Chelsee can’t wait to watch!!!!"
And while fans were thrilled by her return, others couldn't help but mention how much Chelsee's daughter, Coco, is the double of her mum after seeing the old clips. @katieelliemusic said: "All I can see in #2 is Coco! Absolutely your double.
@hair_by_charlotte commented: "Awwww your oldies look just like coco does now." @beckageee wrote: "I love this !!!! Amazing !! And also the shakira video is COCO!! Get her to do it." @pinkroseanne replied: "Love Waterloo Road. Coco is totally your double." @keelyjan23 added: "Shakira shakira that is a mini coco right there."
