Chelsea XI vs Brentford: Starting lineup, confirmed team news, injury latest for Premier League today

Armando Broja today remains out of Chelsea's home visit of Brentford despite his presence in first-team training.

Chelsea have included the young striker on a seven-strong injury list and explained he is being "treated for irritation" in his knee.

Broja joins long-term injured stars Christopher Nkunku, Ben Chilwell, Romeo Lavia, Trevoh Chalobah, Wesley Fofana and Carney Chukwuemeka on the sidelines.

Chelsea produced arguably their best performance since Todd Boehly and Clearlake bought the club last summer at Arsenal even though a late collapse saw them draw from two goals up.

Robert Sanchez started in goal last time and will continue, despite his sloppy distribution giving Arsenal a way back into the game through a Declan Rice strike.

Reece James is expected to continue on the bench, while Thiago Silva, Levi Colwill and the in-form Marc Cucurella will complete the backline.

"No he's still not ready to start," said Pochettino of the Chelsea captain. "He was training well and is really close, but tomorrow he'll be on the bench."

There is no Enzo Fernandes in midfielder as Noni Madueke joins Moises Caicedo and Conor Gallagher. Raheem Sterling, Cole Palmer and Nicolas Jackons complete the XI up front.
