Chelsea vs West Ham: Prediction, kick off time, TV, live stream, team news, h2h results - preview today

Chelsea face another London derby as West Ham visit Stamford Bridge in the Premier League this afternoon.

Thomas Tuchel’s side will be hoping this one is a more enjoyable experience though, after they were beaten 4-2 by Arsenal in midweek as the Blues produced an incredibly poor performance.

While a top-four spot looks all-but secured, Chelsea will not want to let their league season peter out ahead of an FA Cup final next month.

For West Ham, they must also try and keep their focus on Premier League affairs. David Moyes and his team host Eintracht Frankfurt on Thursday, in the first-leg of the Europa League semi-final clash.

That tournament looks to be West Ham’s best chance of securing Champions League football next season, with the Hammers in danger of finishing outside the top six.

Here’s all you need to know about Sunday’s match...

Date, kick-off time and venue

The Premier League game is scheduled for a 2pm BST kick-off time today, April 24, 2022.

Stamford Bridge in London will host the match.

Chelsea vs West Ham team news

Chelsea will be without Antonio Rudiger (groin) and Mateo Kovacic (ankle) for Sunday’s clash, after Tuchel confirmed the pair were still unavailable.

“No, for Sunday’s match they are not back,” said Tuchel on Friday. “Also no other injuries.”

After such a poor display from the Blues against Arsenal, Thiago Silva and Kai Havertz look likely to return to the starting lineup.

Moyes has a defensive crisis on his hands, with Craig Dawson the only fit centre-back after Issa Diop joined Angelo Ogbonna and Kurt Zouma on the sidelines.

That means Declan Rice could well drop back into defence, either in a back four alongside Dawson or even in a back three that would likely see Aaron Cresswell move inside.

A strong lineup in attack can be expected from the Hammers, even with a Europa League semi-final clash to come on Thursday.

Chelsea vs West Ham prediction

While they have looked incredibly vulnerable at times in defence, Chelsea have still shown strong goalscoring form in recent weeks and that could week continue against a depleted West Ham backline.

The Hammers have been superb in Europe but their Premier League results and performances have been inconsistent, and they may fall short against a Chelsea side desperate for a positive response.

Chelsea to win, 3-1.

Head to head (h2h) history and results

Chelsea wins: 52

Draws: 22

West Ham wins: 43
