Chelsea will be keen to brush off a defeat at Southampton as they plan to welcome West Ham United to Stamford Bridge this weekend. The Blues suffered a defeat midweek at St Mary's Stadium while the Hammers kept Tottenham Hotspur to a 1-1 at the London Stadium.
The Blues are the favourites at 1/2 with Betway while the Irons are 11/2 and a draw is 100/30 ahead of their Premier League clash. Chelsea have lost just one of their last 16 home league games against West Ham which happened back in November 2019 - they have picked up 11 wins and four draws in that time too.
Thomas Tuchel's side have only managed to pick up two wins in their opening five league matches - one away to Everton and one at home against Leicester City. There has been an issue of discipline in the squad too as they have picked up two of the three red cards so far shown this season as well as a touchline ban from Thomas Tuchel too despite receiving one of the fewest yellow cards (six, behind West Ham, Man City and Liverpool).
Meanwhile, David Moyes will be keen to push forward after getting their first win of the season away to Aston Villa last weekend and holding Spurs to a draw at home a few days later. Three consecutive defeats to open the season was not what the Irons were expecting against Man City, Nottingham Forest and Brighton & Hove Albion. With investment in depth and Europa Conference League group stages in the mix, they will be keen to ensure they improve on last season's disappointing finish on the last day.

Five games in and clearly Raheem Sterling has finally settled in to life at Stamford Bridge picking up three goals in his last two league appearances. The England international has shown early signs that Chelsea's pre-season concerns of where the goals would come from after Romelu Lukaku's return to Inter Milan have been answered. The crucial bit now is to maintain that throughout the season and with the added competition of Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, we could see a few more.
